The school year has started and the joy of creating is filling the air in the art room!
For our youngest artists, students are finding their way through “touching”, “seeing” and “creating” their beginning masterpieces with paint, glue and myriad other media during their time in Art.
The rest of the budding artists in Early Learning continue to delve even deeper into that special place where ideas and the fun of “thinking” then “making” comes alive.
Projects with pencils, watercolor, paper-mache, clay, wood and so many more will fill the art shelves and tables throughout the year.
It is a joy to see the “I Did That!” moments that students feel as their confidence and willingness to try new experiences builds and their expression through art flourishes. This may come easily for some children and with others it peeks out more shyly. More times than not, that beautiful connection with their creative spirit is made.
Children expressing themselves through their art is a joy to behold and a journey filled with definition, thought, plans, procedures, discovery but most of all having fun!
